Spiritfarer is a hybrid of a two dimensional strategy game, in which we play the eponymous soul transporter, transporting the spirits of the dead on a boat built by ourselves. The production offers a fairly extensive gameplay and attractive, fairytale setting. For the creation and release of this title is responsible Canadian indie studio Thunder Lotus Games.

In the game spiritfarer game , we impersonate Stella, who is the eponymous carrier of souls, on the model known from Greek mythology Charon. The girl transports the dead to a place where they experience a posthumous existence, often making friends with them along the way and learning their unique stories.

The main purpose of the game is to transport the encountered characters to the underworld on board a hand-built boat and discover their history. The creators made sure that each of the characters was associated with a unique, moving story.

During the game, we also manage the boat and get or create the things we need, traversing locations using the method typical of classic two-dimensional platform games. We can indulge in mining, collect items, cook and weave, and create or find gifts for our engers.

Spiritfarer has a distinctive, two-dimensional graphic frame, based mainly on hand-made illustrations. The graphics are distinguished primarily by a vivid color palette and a fairy-tale climate that brings to mind animated films. In the game we meet many characters in the form of zantropomorfizovaných animals, so the title of the studio Thunder Lotus can evoke associations e.g. with the film work Studio Ghibli.
