Dune Spice Wars is a real-time strategy game, enriched with clearly outlined elements 4x. the production is based on the license of Dune, a bestselling science fiction novel by Frank Herbert. Behind its development is the team Northgard. Its release was handled by Funcom, which owns the rights to the brand.

Dune Spice Wars PC – Review:

Dune Spice Wars PC takes us on a journey into the distant future. The action of this production is set on the planet Arrakis, which is the source of Melange – the eponymous spice that expands consciousness, allows interstellar travel and prolongs life, making it the most valuable resource in the universe. During the game, we stand at the head of one of the factions, as, among others, Prince Leto Atreides or baron Vladimir Harkonnen to take complete control of this desert globe, and thus – over the deposits of melange. It is up to us how we achieve our goal.

In Dune Spice Wars PC we watch the action from a bird’s eye view. During the game, we focus primarily on the extraction of spices. By sending ornithopters on reconnaissance, we gradually discover the map, and also learn the location of the melange deposits, to which we can then send harvesters created for its extraction. We sell the accumulated resources, and we can use the funds raised to expand our headquarters, improve technology, or, finally, to recruit soldiers.

A powerful army is needed both to defend our possessions from the encroachments of enemies, and to conquer new territories. With the latter, however, it should be borne in mind that aggressive behavior does not necessarily please the emperor who exercises the highest authority in this universe, and therefore-in the end can bring us trouble. That is why diplomacy is often a better solution, as well as the plotting of various political intrigues. We can take care of our interests without bloodshed by voting in the Landsraad on various political resolutions.

The graphics of the game Dune Spice Wars PC presents a decent level. The whole thing was kept in a style that does not evoke any of the previous adaptations of dune.
